Not a good time to go touring to many places

Monsoon rains are hitting hard in many parts of India with several rivers flooding, especially in North India, where over 60,000 are still stranded in several parts of Uttarakhand. This may not be a good time to go on tours to many places. If you are planning any travels now, do make a weather check, and also check the recent news for that place, to be on the safer side.
Off season travels may not be all that bad, (we have had many fun trips during the monsoons), but it does involve risks in certain places due to landslides, floods, roads and rail lines closed due to bad weather, etc.
Even though the damage done due to bad weather may not be as devastating in all the places, one has to be always cautious of mountainous areas, ghat sections, river sides, etc, during these times and it is always best to check the weather forecasts and any related news.
